Obituary for Robert George Wood

WOOD, Robert “Bob” George – Oct. 31st, 1945 – Dec. 9th, 2016 – Passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital in his 72nd year. Son of the late Elbern and Ruth Wood. Beloved husband of Bonnie Wood (nee Keller) for 27 years. Dear brother of Patricia Anne White and pre-deceased by brother James Wood. Remembered by sisters-in-law Brenda (Mario) De Castris and Theda. Uncle of David (Rachel) and Bobby (Lois) Robinson, Sherry-Lynn (Rob) Trimm, Joseph (Rachel) Wood, Michael (Julie), Marco (Jen) De Castris and Steven Wood. Great-uncle of Aiden, Sean, Nick, Josh, Danielle, Ashley, Everly, Trinity, Izzy and Gabe. Dear friend of Ruth and Paul La Rocque and family. Bob was a die-hard Habs fan, taxi driver/ dispatcher with Central Taxi until his retirement, and formerly employed by Jack Bush of the Belleville Burial Company. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Thursday, December 15th, 2016 at 11:30a.m. (with visitation beforehand from 10:00a.m. – 11:30a.m.). Luncheon will be held at the funeral home immediately following. If desired, donations to the Belleville General Hospital Oncology Department or Quinte Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
