The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marie Rose can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Marie Helen Rose (MacDonald)

Marie Helen Rose (MacDonald)
ROSE, Marie Helen – passed away peacefully at Crown Ridge Place, Trenton on Sunday, March 5th, 2017 in her 95th year. She is sadly missed by her daughter Anne Marie Rose. She is predeceased by six brothers and sisters, James (Rene) MacDonald, Reverend Daniel MacDonald, Edward (Mary Margaret) MacDonald, Arthur MacDonald, Frances (Les) Truman, Sister Sara MacDonald and many nieces and nephews. Marie was a familiar figure in the community as organist at St. Peter-in-Chains Catholic Church in Trenton for over sixty years. In addition to this, she taught piano for many years and worked for over forty years at the Jewell Funeral Home, originally the Weaver Funeral Home and Rushnell Funeral Centre in Trenton. She was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. She was a wonderful pianist and organist and anyone who was fortunate enough to hear her play would agree that “there is nothing in the world so much like prayer as music...”. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street Trenton (613-392-2111) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary to be said at 6:45 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at St. Peter-In-Chains Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Father Timothy Harrison officiating.
