The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Samuel McDonald can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Sam.
I am not surprised to hear that the crowd was huge yesterday! He certainly was well known and cared for by many. I am so happy that his family and friends have so many people to lean on during the difficult days.
Although it has been ‘few’ years since I have seen Sam, I have never forgotten his contagious laughter and smile. Both his smile and laugh are everlasting marks that I’m sure he has left with all who knew him.
Rest in Paradise.

Condolence: I wanted to leave you with some thoughts, as we also lost our dear son, a year and a half ago, due to a sudden, tragic heart attack, at the age of 38. We know your pain, your loss, your hurt, your sadness and brokenness. The loss never goes away, but you get used to it over time, and sudden moments of sadness and loss will creep upon you at any time. Stay close to your loved ones and draw strength from them. God is the only one who can truly comfort you, even though you feel like God has abandoned you. There will never be answers, but we need to live for the family members who are left, and cherish the good memories that our loved one has left. My heart aches for all of you!
