Cub was born and raised in Trenton and was active and supportive in many community programs. He was the best kind of neighbour due in part to his baking and cooking expertise that he shared freely and his great sense of humour. Cub was proud to serve his country in both the Navy and Air Force and spent a great many years as the owner of Ferguson Decorating Ltd. in Trenton. Cub is pre-deceased by his parents Fredrick and Selena Ferguson and his siblings Jean, Albert, Barney, Alice, Betty, Beverly, Margaret, and Robert. Beloved husband to Sigrid Ferguson (nee Vieshencamper). Pre-deceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Dorothy Mae Ferguson (nee Rose). Cub will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his children Michael (Carole), Peter (Megan), Nancy (Terrance), and step-children Ingrid and Rick (Heather) Kutzner. Cub was a loving grandfather to Alanna, Christopher, Benjamin, Daesha, Luceus, Kamenna, Justin, Eric, Tyson, Catherine, Hannah and a great-grandfather to Jacob, Alaura, and Isabelle. He was a man who was focused on family and loved and cared for all his nieces and nephews and extended family. Friends are invited to the Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Evergreen Cemetery to follow.
