(Longtime Nortel Employee) - It is with sadness that the family of Rose Wood announces her death, Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at the Hastings Manor, Belleville at the age of 93. Rose was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Fair and William Wood and by her only daughter, Linda Marie Young. She was the loving and caring grandmother to Jeff Young(Bev), Jennifer Dering(Julian), Chris Young, and Sean Young(Kelly). Rose was a proud great-grandmother to James Young, Lasondra Cain(Chris), Christina Dering(Tiffany) and especially proud of Oliver Cain her great-great grandson. Rose was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Isabelle Fox. She was predeceased by her siblings Joe Fox, Peggy Foley(Bob), and Ruth Porritt and a surviving sister Heather Robbins(Andy). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Rose was a proud member of the Avaya Community Volunteers as well as many other volunteer organizations & she was an avid Bid Euchre player.
A Service in Celebration of Rose's Life will be held on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 at 11 a.m. from St. Columba Presbyterian Church, 520 Bridge Street East, Belleville with Rev. Jennifer Cameron officiating. A Reception will follow the service. Interment at Belleville Cemetery Scattering Garden. Arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588). If desired, donations to the Crohn's & Colitis Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
