Rushnell Family Services

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Catherine Cattell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Rosemary and Ian Kennedy
Condolence: Kate was one of the first people to offer her friendship when we moved to Brighton some years ago. We had an immediate affinity and shared many interest - as diverse as opera and rugby! I kept in contact with Kate after we moved away to the West Coast, and the news of her death was deeply saddening. I will miss her cheery letters, and comparing notes on the latest opera. Heartfelt condolences to all her family. She was definitely one of a kind and will be so much missed.

Condolence From: Michelle Bright
Condolence: Many years of friendship with Kate and Les began when we were neighbours in Toronto on Clareville Crescent. Michelle and Kate were colleagues at Dallington Public School where Kate helped in the library and shared in nurturing young people in the French immersion program as Michelle’s educational assistant until Kate’s retirement. We kept in touch for years and valued Kate’s warmth and lively spirit expressed invariably over a cup of tea. Her sense of humour, her loyalty to her friends and her pride and love for her family characterize the wonderful person that we value and miss.

Condolence: Dear Roger and Christine,

My wife and I first met Kate and Les when they acquired the cottage next to ours. We could not have asked for better neighbours. Kate always showed a keen interest in both us and our children. Dogs and roaming kids were welcome - warmth and laughter always pervaded whenever we visited. She will be missed by all.

Condolence: You will not meet a nicer person, we were privileged to have her as our neighbor for more than 25 years.
She treated our daughter like her own Granddaughter and she will be forever missed.
