Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Gonyea can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for George Edward Gonyea

GONYEA, George Edward – entered into rest at home with his daughter Cayleigh by his side on Saturday, March 10th, 2018. Son of the late Acle and Ruby (Chase) Gonyea. Loved father of Darryl Gonyea, Joey Gonyea, Ashley Gonyea, and Cayleigh Haywood all of Toronto. Grandfather of Markus Khan, Julia Sweeney, and Mason Gonyea. Survived by sister Virginia Burshaw and brothers Robert Gonyea, Gary (late Maxine) Gonyea and Billy Bates. Predeceased by siblings Linda (Peter) Barr, Doug Gonyea, Richard Gonyea, Leo (surviving Hazel) Gonyea. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Belleville General Hospital Oncology Department would be appreciated by the family.
