WAITE, Norma Louise
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Louise Waite peacefully and with grace and dignity at the age of 78, at Northumberland Hills Hospital, on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Norma spent her entire life in Brighton, and will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mom and nana, great friend and neighbour to many. Norma is survived on the Waite farm by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Van Waite, along with her two children Jeffrey Waite and Jennifer Callahan and their spouses Daphne and Eric. She is also survived by her sisters; Shirley Cummings (of Brighton), Helen Mutton (of Peterborough), and Lois Hunniford (of Woodstock). Norma was a proud grandmother to three wonderful granddaughters, Anna Waite, Lauren and Mia Callahan. Predeceased by her parents Raymond and Verna Brown and loving sister, Joan Waddling, all of Brighton. A private interment will occur at Waite Cemetery, Saturday, February 18th at 11:30 a.m. Family, friends, and Hilton neighbours are invited to join the family on February 18th to honour and celebrate Norma's life at Eden United Church at Dundonald, starting with a 1:00 p.m. service, followed by food and friendship at the Eden Church Hall. In Norma's memory, donations may be made to Waite Cemetery or the Friends of Dundonald.
