October 1, 1961 – February 12, 2023
Entered into rest at her home surrounded by family, on Sunday, February 12, 2023, Heidi Kriens (nee Stoll) of Cressy, died at the age of 61. Heidi was a very kind and loving wife to Peter, mother to Kristen, and friend to many. Heidi had many passions in her life. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she was a force behind every family gathering. Heidi developed a love of travel which was kindled by family trips at a young age, and then continued throughout her life. Heidi was very interested in architecture and for many years was involved in home construction and renovation in Prince Edward County.
Heidi was the daughter of the late Karl and Eileen Stoll of Picton. She was the loving wife of Peter; mother of Kristen (Vlad) of Toronto; sister of Karolyn (Jim) of Milford, and Karl (Diana) of Erin. Heidi will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews (Jim, Alixandra, Dylan, Alexander and Tatiana) and by her great-niece Olivia and great-nephew Kieran. Heidi also had a special relationship with her mother-in-law (Janny), her brother-in-law (Thomas), her sister-in-law (Leanne) and Laika, the wonder dog.
Thank you to all of Heidi’s doctors, nurses, care-givers and friends in Prince Edward County, and at Mount Siani Hospital in Toronto who cared for her over the past five years.
Mrs. Kriens rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place. An End-Of-Life Party was held at her cottage in Cressy on Saturday, February 11, 2023, with her family and best friends.
