It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ray, at his home on Friday June 2nd, 2017 in his 85th year. Son of the late Jack & Anna Plews. Loving husband to Gloria (nee Budreau) for 64 years. Beloved father of Anne Lamers (Dan) of Belleville, Diane Cornish (late Mark) of Newburgh, Marilyn Courneyea (Clair) of Grimsby, Raymond Plews (Irene Provost) of Marysville and Heather Moore (Anthony Marsh) of Belleville. Proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Florence Lynch (Joe) of Oshawa, Maureen Cruickshank (Elmer) of Marysville and his brother Larry (Mary Ann) of Corbyville. He is predeceased by his brother Arthur Plews and sister Mary Brennan (late Earl). Ray will also be fondly remembered by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held at JOHN R BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday June 7th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery.
