ACKERS, Doreen Lela (nee McMurray) – It is with deep sadness, the family announce the death of Doreen, at Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at the age of 84. Wife of the late Douglas Hiram Ackers. Life long resident of Stirling, Ontario. Born in Minto, Rawdon Township. Daughter of the late Stanley and Ida McMurray (nee Sine). Doreen is survived by siblings: Fred McMurray (Joan), Elton McMurray, and sister-in-law Jean McMurray. Pre-deceased by sisters: Viola, Christine, Irene, Evelyn, Marguerite, and brothers: Clayton, Kenneth and Russell. Beloved aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt of several nieces and nephews. A memorial service/ Eastern Star service will be held from the St. Johns Anglican Church, 73 North St. Stirling, on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 at 1:30p.m. Rev. Nancy Beale officiating. Private Inurnment in Stirling Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church.
